Cavco Industries, Inc. is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona and was founded in 1965. It is engaged in the design, production, wholesale, and retail sale of manufactured homes in the United States. It also produces modular homes, such as single and multi-section/modular ranch-style dwellings, split-level homes, Cape Cod style homes, two and three story homes, and multi-family units.
Cavco operates 15 manufacturing facilities across the country, which manufactures four of the most widely recognized brand names in the industry: Cavco Homes, Fleetwood Homes, Palm Harbor Homes and Nationwide Homes. The firm’s insurance group, Standard Casualty, offers a wide range of insurance products for manufactured home owners and its finance subsidiary, CountryPlace Mortgage, offers a range of homebuyer financing alternatives. The firm is also focused on building, quality and energy efficient homes as well as focusing on higher utilization rate of renewable materials.
Cavco, as of March 29, 2014 distributed its homes through 47 company-owned retail outlets, as well as through a network of independent retailers, planned community operators, and residential developers in 44 states in the United States, Canada, Japan, and Mexico.
