Manitex International: Heavy Lifting
Manitex International provides the kind of heavy lifting equipments that body builders are no match for. If we look closely there are many things that have to be lifted and transported and these things are something a human being can’t lift (not even body builders). They may be machineries or construction materials or container vans which need to be moved. Manitex International is a company that manufactures and distributes these kinds of equipment and they have been successfully doing so for over two decades now.
Manitex International was founded in 1993 and was known as Veri-Tek International Corp. In 2008 it changed its name to Manitex International, Inc. The firm is based in Bridgeview, Illinois. Manitex offers engineered lifting solutions. The firm operates via two segments, Lifting Equipment and Equipment Distribution.
The Lifting Equipment segment designs, manufactures, and distributes boom trucks and crane products that are mainly utilized for industrial projects and energy exploration. These products are also used for infrastructure development. This includes roads, bridges, and commercial construction. Manitex also provides specialized rough terrain cranes and material handling products for the construction, municipality, and railroad industries.
This segment also offer rough terrain forklifts for use in commercial and military applications. It also provides specialty mission oriented vehicles and other specialized carriers, heavy material handling transporters, steel mill equipment and specialized custom trailers and hauling systems used for transporting heavy equipment.
The Equipment Distribution segment distributes rough terrain and truck cranes, boom trucks, and sky cranes for infrastructure development and commercial construction, road and bridge construction, general contracting, roofing, scrap handling, and sign construction and maintenance. This segment also supplies repair parts for various medium to heavy duty construction equipment as well as offers used lifting and construction equipment. It also provides repair services.
