Landry’s: Succeeding In Many Places

Landry’s began as a gulf seafood restaurant in Katy, Texas. It then became a collection of highly-rated restaurants. The company expanded into other industries as well. Landry’s eventually had a growing network of hotels, and later company owned-and-operated entertainment complexes such as the Kemah Boardwalk and the Golden Nuggets, in historic locations like Las Vegas and Atlantic City.

The company has many concepts blossoming throughout the country and abroad. It is the owner and operator of more than 450 properties including over 40 unique brands like Landry’s Seafood, Chart House, Saltgrass Steak House, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Claim Jumper, Morton’s The Steakhouse, McCormick & Schmick’s, Mastro’s Restuarants and Rainforest Café. It boasts of a combination of good fresh food, outstanding service and great locations.

Along with its various hotel properties, gaming and other entertainment destination Landry’s is one of the nation’s largest dining, entertainment gaming and hospitality companies.  Company chairman and CEO Tilman Fertitta took the firm private in October 2010 in a deal worth $1.4 billion. Landry’s continues to grow; it acquired recently Mastro’s Restuarants, an upscale, small steak and seafood chain.
