Golden Living: For The “Golden Years”
As mentioned in a previous blog taking care of the elderly has become a permanent fixture in the U.S. economy. In fact if these companies weren’t around the U.S. economy may not look like what it is today with some of the labor force having to take care of their elderly relatives.
Another company that has made it big in this industry is Golden Living. It was founded in 1963 and has headquarters in Plano, Arizona. Just how big? At the end of 2011 it had sales of $2.79 billion. The firm has around 42,000 employees.
Golden Living runs nursing homes and offers services related to rehabilitation therapy, hospice and home health as well as temporary staffing. The firm’s Golding Living Centers division operates 300 skilled nursing sites and 40 assisted living facilities in 21 states. Catering to Golding Living Centers is the other big division of Golden Living, Golden Innovations whose firms are Aegis Therapies, AseraCare Hospice and Home Health, 360 Healthcare Staffing, Ceres Purchasing Solutions and Vizia Healthcare Design Group.
Where there’s a need someone is bound to address it and Golden Living has addressed this need in a very big way.
