ICC Industries: Trading To Manufacturing

September 19, 2013

Companies evolve. One great example of this is ICC Industries. The company was founded in 1950 as a one-person international trading company. A trading company normally has less capital investment as a similar-sized manufacturing company.

When trading became successful and the firm had more funds ICC Industries evolved into a trading and manufacturing company. Today, ICC is both into world-wide trading and manufacturing with facilities throughout the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Aside from international and domestic trading and marketing of chemicals, plastics, and pharmaceuticals, the firm’s manufacturing capabilities include extrusion of plastic resin into custom sheet; compounding of plastic resins and master batch and production of color concentrates; production of specialty chemicals; production of coatings; synthetic resins, sheet molding compounds, and soaps; and manufacturing of natural dietary fiber supplement-based products for generic and over-the-counter pharmaceuticals.

The firm is also a major investor in a public industry leader in the production of flavors and fine ingredients for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. ICC has a New Product Development Center with state-of-the-art laboratories dedicated to the creation of new products as well as keeping the company abreast with the latest trends in the industry.

ICC has grown from strength to strength and it doesn’t look like it will stop growing any time soon.
