Big Things Start From Small Beginnings

September 20, 2012

Reyes Holdings began when the Reyes family purchased a small South Carolina beer distributor for $740,000.00 in 1976. While the purchase price is not loose change it’s small compared to what the Reyes family has turned that business into.

There years later the Chicago Beverage Systems was bought. Reyes Beverage Group is now the largest beer distributor in the U.S. Each year the company delivers over 95 million beer cases. Next Martin-Brower the largest U.S. distributor of McDonald’s was acquired in 1998. Today this entity delivers burgers and fries to thousands of locations in the U.S. as well as delivering for all of Canada, Latin America and Ireland.

Reyes Holdings also owns Reinhart Food Service one of the largest food service distributors in the U.S. Through 27 regional distribution centers all over the U.S. the company serves 44,000 customers.

As a whole from 100 warehouses in different parts of the world the company delivers over 750 million cases of beer and food products annually.  This Chicago based company is privately held has annual revenues of over $20 billion and has more than 14,000 employees.  Brothers Christ and Jude Reyes are co-chairmen of the holding company.
